Topic: Simple Present Tense

Aim: Students will be able to use this tense correctly.

Tools: textbook, chalk, green board, smart class, blackboard

Teaching Method:
Activity 1: Warm-Up
Ask some questions to check students' previous knowledge about the topic.

Activity 2: Prepare a list of things you do every day as a routine using this tense.
Examples:
(a) I wake up at 6 o'clock in the morning.
(b) I brush my teeth regularly.
(c) I go to school at 7 o'clock in the morning.

Activity 3: Introduce first, second, and third-person's singular and plural with ample examples.

Ending:
  • Divide the class into four groups. Give each group a category of first, second, and third-person. 
  • Ask them to discuss within the group and write as many examples of simple present tense as they can. 
  • The group with the maximum number of examples will win.
Review: Write some sentences on the board and ask the students to identify simple present tense in those sentences.
