For a very long time, I wanted to visit Zoo. Last week on Sunday, my parents planned to go to Delhi Zoo. I was extremely happy. We reached just before the opening time of Zoo. My father bought tickets for all of us and then we entered the zoo from the main gate.

There were multiple separate sections for animals and birds. There were deer, stags, blackbuck, fox, zebra, and giraffe. Some animals came to us in the hope of getting something to eat. We saw rhinos standing in the muddy water.

We moved to the next section in Zoo. There were wild animals like lions, panthers, tigers, leopards, and bears. We also saw a white tiger in a separate cage. Their cages were big enough to give them natural space like forests.

We saw black swans in the pond. In a separate pond, crocodiles were swimming. Nearby were the enclosures for snakes and python. Then we saw blue-yellow parrots with mostly blue top parts and yellow underparts. We saw the hippopotamus in the water with a crow on its back. Peacocks and elephants attracted a large gathering.

Seeing all those animals for real was a wonderful experience for me. Next time, I would love to come here with my friends and classmates. Because the knowledge, entertainment and an unforgettable experience that I received, they can also get it.

There are so many fascinating ancient buildings in India which teach us and also amuse us. It increases our interest to know our history. Trips to historical places make students connect their classroom learning with the real world and it is one of the boredom busters. I am very fond of visiting historical buildings. So I made a plan to see The Taj.

We four friends decided to go to Agra last week by our own car. We decided the route of Yamuna Expressway to reach Agra from Delhi. On the way, we stopped for breakfast and at around 11 am we entered Agra. We parked our vehicle in eastern gate parking and took battery-operated auto-rickshaw to reach the monument’s entrance gate. At the entrance of the Taj Mahal, we bought tickets and went through security checks.

On entering, we see two large lawns, in the middle of which there was a way to reach the main mausoleum and the fountains along this road were adorned with its beauty. We saw Taj standing on a raised platform. It has four lofty minarets at its four corners. The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna River in the Indian city of Agra. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.

It is one of the UNESCO World heritage sites and one of the seven wonders of the world. It looks very beautiful in the moonlight. People like to visit The Taj during full moon nights for making memories remarkable and everlasting. People from very far places come to see this most beautiful building.

After staying inside for a long time, we decided to leave. Trip to The Taj was totally worth, fun and educational. There are so many beautiful historical buildings in the world that I have not seen. But I wish to revisit it again.

"Affairs go on, and all will take some shape or other, but it keeps one in hot water all the time."

"All marriage is such a lottery - the happiness is always an exchange - though it may be a very happy one - still the poor woman is bodily and morally the husband's slave. That always sticks in my throat. When I think of a merry, happy, and free young girl - and look at the ailing aching state a young wife is generally doomed to - which you can't deny is the penalty of marriage."

"An ugly baby is a very nasty object - and the prettiest is frightful."

"Being pregnant is an occupational hazard of being a wife."

"His purity was too great, his aspiration too high for this poor, miserable world! His great soul is now only enjoying that for which it was worthy!

"I am most anxious to enlist everyone who can speak or write to join in checking this mad, wicked folly of “Women’s Rights,” with all its attendant horrors, on which her poor feeble sex is bent, forgetting every sense of womanly feelings and propriety. Feminists ought to get a good whipping. Were woman to “unsex” themselves by claiming equality with men, they would become the most hateful, heathen and disgusting of beings and would surely perish without male protection."

"I don't dislike babies, though I think very young ones rather disgusting."

"I feel sure that no girl would go to the altar if she knew all."

"I positively think that ladies who are always enceinte quite disgusting; it is more like a rabbit or guinea-pig than anything else and really it is not very nice."

"I think people really marry far too much; it is such a lottery after all, and for a poor woman a very doubtful happiness."

"I would venture to warn against too great intimacy with artists as it is very seductive and a little dangerous."

"It is worth being shot at to see how much one is loved."

"It seems to me a defect in our much famed Constitution, to have to part with an admirable Govt like Ld Salisbury's for no question of any importance or any particular reason, merely on account of the number of votes."

"Since it has pleased Providence to place me in this station, I shall do my utmost to fulfil my duty towards my country."

"The important thing is not what they think of me, but what I think of them."

"We are not interested in the possibilities of defeat; they do not exist."
