For a very long time, I want to visit Zoo. Last week on Sunday, my parents planned to go to Delhi Zoo. I was extremely happy. We reached just before the opening time of Zoo. My father bought tickets for all of us. Then we entered the zoo by the main gate.

There were multiple separate sections for animals and birds. There were deer, stags, blackbuck, fox, zebra, and giraffe. Some animals came to us in the hope of getting something to eat. We saw rhinos standing in the muddy water.

We moved to the next section in Zoo. There were wild animals like lions, panthers, tigers, leopards, and bears. We also saw a white tiger in a separate cage. Their cages were big enough to give them natural space like forests.

We saw black swans in the pond. In a separate pond, crocodiles were swimming. Nearby were the enclosures for snakes and python. Then we saw blue-yellow parrots with mostly blue top parts and yellow underparts. We saw the hippopotamus in the water with a crow on its back. Peacocks and elephants attracted a large gathering.

It was an amazing experience to see all those animals in real. I like to visit that place again if I will get the chance. Visiting the zoo not only educates us but also entertains us.

There are so many fascinating ancient buildings in India which teach us and also amuse us. It increases our interest to know our history. Trips to historical places make students connect their classroom learning with the real world and it is one of the boredom busters. I am very fond of visiting historical buildings. So I made a plan to see The Taj.

We four friends visited The Taj Mahal last week by car. We drove from Delhi to Agra on Yamuna Expressway. On the way, we stopped for breakfast and at around 11 am we entered Agra. We parked our vehicle in eastern gate parking and took battery-operated auto-rickshaw to reach the monument’s entrance gate. On the gate, we purchased tickets and go through the security check.

On entering we found two lawns. In between, there was a long pathway to reach the main tomb. We walked along the pathway beside the reflecting pool with fountains. The Taj stands on a raised platform. On its four corners, there are four lofty minarets. The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna River in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal.

It is one of the UNESCO World heritage sites and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It looks very beautiful in the moonlight. People like to visit The Taj during full moon nights for making memories remarkable and everlasting. People from very far places come to see this most beautiful building.

After staying inside for a long time, we decided to leave. Trip to The Taj was totally worth, fun and educational. There are so many beautiful historical buildings in the world that I have not seen. But I wished to revisit it again.

Nuclear plants produce energy in the form of heat by splitting uranium atoms. Which is further used to generate electricity with the help of a turbine generator. The energy produced by nuclear fission and nuclear fusion is clean energy because it does not emits pollutant gases like carbon, sulfur, nitrogen or other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

There are different purposes fulfill by nuclear energy. From agriculture production to generating electricity, from curing cancer to controlling pollution nuclear energy is utilized.

Nuclear energy is very useful for increasing agricultural production. Sterile insect technique (SIT) is an environment-friendly pest control method to sterile insects to suppress their population using radiation. It controls fruit flies and caterpillars. Fruit flies majorly harm fruits and vegetables and caterpillars moth damage food crops, forests, plants, fruits, and vegetables. This technique shows promising results with an increase in agricultural food. Food irradiation technology is used for preserving food.

Nuclear power plants produce electricity that gives electric power to lighten our homes, schools, hospitals, museums, buildings. Electricity does wonders for us in many ways because most of our daily activities like cooking food to working at the office depend on electricity.

Nuclear medicine uses radiation to identify the functioning of human organs like thyroid, bones, heart, liver and helps to treat them. Treatment of cancer is helpful using radiotherapy, in which radiation is used to destroy or weaken particular targeted cells. Radioisotopes used to sterilize and disinfect medical equipment.

Isotope hydrology techniques that use the radioactive isotopic technique to solve water problems by tracing surface and underground water resources. Nuclear techniques also play an important role in detecting and analyzing the pollutants from the atmosphere. Nuclear power is an important source of energy in outer space missions.

In my opinion, nuclear energy is a great source of clean energy which is helpful in mitigating global warming. But it can be hazardous if used for weapons and military purposes. In the future, it can replace the current energy-producing resources like coal and oil. But we also cannot ignore the deadly radioactive emission by nuclear power plants which require the strongest infrastructure and careful supervision to hold this power.

"War is never a lasting solution for any problem." - A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

Men are fighting wars for centuries and also managed to increase their knowledge in this field. Men have upgraded their weapons from stones to nuclear bombs. Now men have power like Gods. This power is so immense that it always causes destruction in the world in the form of wars. Today, countries spend the largest percentage of its GDP on its military. Although, this money could be used for the welfare of society and the development of the country.

In older times, war causes death only to people who were fighting in the field. But Modern wars destroy the life of civilians as well. During wars schools, colleges, factories, malls, cinema houses, and any other public places remain close. Civilians get killed by crossfire. Attacks by artillery fire and dropping bombs from aircraft destroy villages, towns, public buildings, hospitals, railway stations, museums, mills, etc.

During wars, the economy of the countries goes down. It takes too much time to recover back from economic loss. The rise of commodity prices makes life difficult for poor people. Hunger makes people forget love and sympathy and they kill each other for survival at any cost.

With the help of science, men have invented horrible weapons like nuclear weapons, atom bombs, hydrogen bombs, missiles, submarines, tanks, poisonous gases, chemical weapons, bomber airplanes, rockets, battleships, etc. Because of these weapons, numerous lives have been lost during world wars, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Syrian civil war, Darfur war, Iraq war, Afghanistan war, the war against Boko Haram, Yemeni civil war, the war in Donbas, etc. Many countries like the USA, China, Russia, India, France, Israel, Pakistan, North Korea have nuclear bombs that can end the human race within seconds.

Greed for power has no end; it will not even end once you have everything. Some profligate politicians, certain countries and terrorist groups dominate others using terror as a weapon. Many innocent lives have to suffer either death or misery. The United Nations founded in 1945 with the aim of maintaining international peace and security. Every year, the General Assembly of the United Nations covers international issues on development, peace, and security.

Rock and roll is a music, and why should a music contribute to juvenile delinquency? If people are going to be juvenile delinquents, they're going to be delinquents if they hear Mother Goose rhymes.

Since the beginning, it was just the same. The only difference, the crowds are bigger now.

The colored folks been singing it and playing it just like I'm doin' now, man, for more years than I know. I got it from them.

The first time that I appeared on stage, it scared me to death. I really didn't know what all the yelling was about.

To,

Executive Engineer,
PWD, WRO,
Chennai

Respected Sir,

I would like to bring your kind attention to the frequent breakdown of water supply in our locality. In spite of several reminders to the municipality, there is no change in the water supply system. It is the same as it was in the beginning.

Our locality is facing a severe scarcity of water. Water is turned on in the pipes only for a few hours and that too irregularly every day. The time of the supply is not fixed. The supply is broken down at any time. On account of an acute shortage of water, the people pine for water for drinking and taking a bath.

I hope you would look into the matter seriously and take steps to redress our grievances caused by the scarcity of water. The residents of the locality will feel highly obliged to you for this.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

"Electricity can transform people's lives, not just economically but also socially." - Piyush Goyal

Electricity is an important part of the modern age. Today most of our life is dependent on things which run by electricity. People use electricity for lighting, phones, computers, television, cinema, heating, cooling, transportation, home appliances, machinery in industries and many more places. Electricity has brought great happiness and prosperity to human beings. It is really a boon to humanity.

Electricity is used to charge smartphones, laptops. This helps us to connect through sending and receiving messages, voice and video calling all over the world in no time. Today Electricity is used to run trains, metro, buses, cars and all other kinds of vehicles.

In domestic life, electricity is a boon. It is used to light our houses, microwaves and ovens cook our food, electric Induction and kettle boil our milk and water, washing machine washes our clothes, dishwasher washes our utensils, air conditioners cool our rooms and shops, electric heaters heat our rooms and shops and electricity performs many endless jobs.

Electricity provides great sources of amusement. It provides us entertainment through radio, television, cinema and amusement parks. Through the radio, we can hear songs, stories, dialogues, speeches, and news. Television enables us not only to hear but also to see the face of the singer or the speaker. Cinema has become the cheapest means of recreation. We enjoy rides and games in amusement parks. Disneyland and Universal Studios are famous amusement parks, known worldwide.

In the medical field, electricity plays a revolutionary role. It is due to the electricity that new discoveries and inventions have been made in this field. It helps in curing many diseases. It is very useful in the treatment of cancer. X-ray and ECG are boons of electricity. X-ray helps in tracing out internal diseases and the fracture of bones. ECG is used to detect heart-related diseases.

Electricity has proved itself of great use in our industrial development. It runs huge and heavy machines in mills and factories. Big canals and wells can be dug with the help of electricity. We use the tube wells for irrigation of dry and barren lands. Electric tools can make bridges and change the courses of rivers.

Electric power has helped a lot in spreading knowledge. Printing machines run on electric power that helps to print newspapers, magazines, and books. With the help of computers, a person can now study and work online by staying at home.

Thus we see that we are dependent on electricity for most of our daily activities. There is no field of life which does not bear the stamp of electricity. It is, in fact, the brightest feather in the cup of science. So we should not waste electricity. It is a powerful source of energy which can harm us so we should follow safety measures to use it.
