Topic: Degrees of Comparison of Adjectives and Adverbs
Aim: The students will be able to use the positive, comparative, and superlative degrees of the regular and irregular adjectives and adverbs.
Tools: textbook, chalk, green board, smart class
Lecture Method:
Activity 1: Ask one of the tallest students to stand in front of the class. Describe the height of the student using the degree of comparison of regular adjectives.
Examples:
Positive - Pushpa is a tall girl.
Comparative - Pushpa is taller than you.
Superlative - Pushpa is the tallest amongst all.
Activity 2: Give more examples to students using regular and irregular adjectives and adverbs.
Activity 3: To explain the topic more effectively many more examples will be discussed with the students, their answers will be written on the board and discussion will take place.
Ending: The class will be divided into four groups then each group will give an example in each degree of comparison.
Review: Write some sentences on the board and ask students to differentiate them for adjectives and adverbs, also ask them to convert sentences into another degree of comparison.
