Topic: Present Perfect Tense

Objective/Aim: Students will be able to recognize present perfect tense and able to use them. 

Tools: textbook, chalk, green board, smart class, blackboard

Teaching Method:
Activity 1: Warm-Up
Ask some questions to check students' previous knowledge about the topic. 

Activity 2:
Explain students by giving ample examples of present perfect tense by things that started in the past and continue into the present. 
Examples:
(a) I have not seen your house. 
(b) All students have listened to the lecture.
(c) She has sung the song. 
(d) He has gone to school.

Activity 3: Give students a passage that contains instances of the present perfect tense. Ask them to find it out and let them compare their findings with their classmates.

Ending:
  • Divide the class into four groups. Ask each group to imagine that they are on a summer holiday trip with their family members.
  • Ask them to write the imagined situation sentences in the present perfect tense.
  • The group with the maximum number of examples will win.
Evaluation/Review: Write some incomplete present perfect tense sentences on the board and ask the students to complete those sentences with the whole class orally.
