I have an enthusiasm for fairs. Different kinds of fairs are held annually at their scheduled times and places in my country. Some are religious, some are commercial and some are social. Many fairs organized every year in Pragati Maidan in New Delhi but my favorite fair is an international trade fair(IITF).

Last year in the month of November, I with my four friends planned for IITF. We purchased tickets from Noida City Center Metro station’s customer care center. We reached the venue at 10 am and entered from gate no 10 which was near to Pragati Maidan Metro Station.

There was halls wise display. We entered hall 11 first. Hall number 11 had cosmetics, health products, electronics, kitchen equipment, computer peripherals, mobile phone, food products, leather and textiles and multiproduct. These products were available with offers and discounts. Hall 12 and 12 A had stalls from all Indian states and union territories. We saw stalls of Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Assam, and Odisha. They all represented their state culture and they were selling their state products. I like the hand embroidery apparel, decorative products, bags, handmade dry grass boxes, and handmade jewelry. Delhi display had one of the stalls which had products made by Tihar Jail inmates.

There were international brands in hall number 9 and 10. There were varieties of dry fruits stalls, artificial jewelry, crockery, carpets, and perfumes. I bought a very beautiful handmade lamp from a Turkey-based lamp seller. I also purchased one souvenir from the Egyptian stall. On stage, cultural dance performance attracted so many visitors.

The evening was drawing near and we were tired. So we decided to return back home. It was an amazing experience to see such a variety of things in one place.
