Some people enjoy change, and they look forward to new experiences. Others like their lives to stay the same, and they do not change their usual habits. Compare these two approaches to life. Which approach do you prefer? Explain why.

Attitude toward change differs among persons. While some persons may be eager to learn through change and may appreciate the effects of modifying their routines, some may find it easy to settle down and stick to their habits. Both practices involve some disadvantages along with the benefits.

On the other hand, individuals who like experiencing change may view life as an experience for growth. Engaging in novel activities, interacting with different people, or moving to different environments may widen their horizon and enable them to acquire valuable skills like adaptability and problem-solving. For instance, an individual who frequently changes their workplace or relocates to other countries may find it easy to be self-assured and self-reliant. In today’s rapidly changing world, individuals who like changes may find these qualities valuable assets in their personal as well as professional lives.

On the other hand, individuals in favour of a stable lifestyle relish routine and predictability. Maintaining the same habits can decrease stressors and build a sense of security. For example, living on schedule can enable individuals to delve deeply into responsibilities without the stress that may come with uncertainty. This type of approach is indicated for people with family commitments or jobs that require long-term continuity. In addition, stability enables an individual to have better relationships and achieve steady progress toward long-term goals.

Personally, I am for a balanced approach, but I lean more towards embracing change. I feel that new experiences make life more interesting and allow people to find their true potential. Although change can be uncomfortable at times, it often leads to personal growth and greater satisfaction. Therefore, while stability has its place, I feel being open to change leads to a more meaningful and richer life.
